He had a learning disability; he got teased by other kids for his lazy eye; he had a troubled home life. He was bullied and lonely and angry.
As so often happens with kids in that situation, as he grew up he turned to drugs, crime and violence.
Scott Magri is a Pitt Meadows man who turned his life around. His book “Lessons: Crimes, Games & Pain” describes his path from a lonely child to an angry and violent young man to a clean, compassionate, and community-minded adult.
Scott supports youth, encouraging them away from the path he took.
Scott is working to restore the Katzie Slough, a wetland that was a refuge for him as a troubled youth.
